Ramping up

< 3rd Overwater guest house now nearing completion

Building paradise isn’t always smooth sailing. Since completing our second overwater guest house, we’ve hit our fair share of delays — pauses, pivots, and unforeseen setbacks. But these last couple of weeks have felt different.

The key? A shift in leadership. It’s been a real lesson in how the right person can change everything. With a smaller, more cohesive team, we’re not only working faster — we’re working better. There’s a rhythm now. Each beam, each plank, each sago palm roof panel feels like part of a shared vision, not just a checklist.

With that momentum, we’re moving forward on the next big phase: five beach houses. One will become our dining space — a breezy spot for meals, stories, and sunset views. The other four will be guest rooms, bringing us closer to opening our doors.

We’re planning to bring on one more team member to help us keep the pace. But for now, we’re just savoring the progress — and the joy of building something together in Raja Ampat.
